Progress in Community Health Partnerships
Research, Education, and Action

This new journal welcomes submissions of manuscripts that
deal with any health related application of participatory
research and evaluation, along the continuum of research
from works in progress through translation into routine
practice. Health related applications may include articles
on health determinants, health outcomes, health services,
health promotion, and diagnosis or treatment of disease.
The Journal is particularly interested in studies that
seek to improve health or healthcare delivery in underserved

Local Acts: New Column in Public Health
Reports

Public Health Reports is a 128-year-old
journal devoted to public health. It is distributed to all members
of the National
Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO). A new
column, Local Acts, will showcase the unique ways that local public
health departments protect their population
and the environment. Local health officials are encouraged to submit
manuscripts
covering such topics as creative marketing campaigns, targeted legal
action under local health codes, unusual agreements with the private
sector, and productive collaborations
with other local government entities, such as schools.
Health Promotion Practice
Deadline: Ongoing
Sponsored by the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), HPP publishes
authoritative, peer-reviewed articles devoted to the practical application
of health promotion and education. The journal publishes the following types
of articles and essays:
- Manuscripts on a variety of topics related to the application
of health promotion/health education programs in various,
including: innovative linkages between academics/researchers
and practitioners; community and/or clinical applications
of new or state-of-the-art intervention strategies; policy
advocacy and social environmental interventions to promote
health; and other applied practice topics.
- Literature review articles must be comprehensive
in nature and go beyond a cursory review of a topic. Specific
subject areas of interest include: Program Development, Professional
Skills Development and New Contributions to Practice, Administration & Policy
, Future Developments in Health Care/Health Promotion.
- Commentaries on current, timely topics of interest to
health promotion and education practice, policy and professional
development are encouraged.
Submisssions are accepted on an ongoing basis. For more detailed
