20th National Conference on Chronic Disease Prevention and Control

Cultivating Healthy Communities
Location: Gaylord National Convention Center in Washington, DC.

This conference will celebrate two decades of extraordinary progress in the prevention and control of chronic diseases and offer attendees opportunities to learn about successful chronic disease prevention efforts, best practices, and effective interventions used by their colleagues. The Co-sponsors of the conference are the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD), the Directors of Health Promotion and Education (DHPE), and the Prevention Research Centers (PRCs). Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education
WICHE applied for and received CMHS funding for the development of a “virtual” Grand Rounds series, conducted via electronic web casts, to provide rural and frontier mental health professionals with access to training on key topics emergent in mental health practice today. The web cast format not only provides for real-time and asynchronous training opportunities for rural/frontier staff, but creates over time an archive of training material for the field. Participation will also qualify for the provision of CME and CEU hours. Upcoming sessions are as follows:

Online Calendars

The Public Health Foundation (PHF) maintaints an online distance learning clearinghouse, TrainingFinder.org. You can search for courses by profession or topic. Many offer CEU's.
